D.A.S. Receives County Tax Abatement

D.A.S. Services of Angola received a tax abatement from the Steuben County Council at their October meeting. The tax abatement was awarded based on the $350,000 scheduled expansion project which will include both real estate and equipment. D.A.S. also plans to hire 2 additional employees bringing the total employment at the facility to 15. D.A.S. was given the tax abatement for both real estate and equipment for 10 years. In exchange for the 10 year abatement, D.A.S. agreed to donate 5% of their tax savings to the Steuben County for Economic Development. D.A.S. Services doubled the size of its current facility to now encompass 9,600 square feet with a 4,800 square foot expansion. In addition, D.A.S. has planned equipment purchases which will establish a CNC machining department within the organization. Machines planned to be purchased include a manual lathe, CNC lathe, CNC mill and NC saw. D.A.S. Services specializes in the repair and manufacture of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. The company is celebrating its 10^th anniversary in business.
