About D.A.S.

D.A.S. Services, Inc. was founded in 1992 by its President, David A. Short. The business focused initially on portable welding repair services, providing onsite services to industrial and residential clients. The business quickly grew to provide custom fabrication services. Items such as safety railings and steps, machine guards and propane tank racks were offered to clients. In late 1995, D.A.S. expanded into the cylinder repair, manufacture and supply business.

Today, D.A.S. specializes in the repair and manufacture of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, the supply of hydraulic components and the custom machining of parts. Now in its 10th year providing hydraulic and pneumatic related services, D.A.S. has built a solid reputation known for its timely, quality and reliable services. Not forgetting its roots, D.A.S. still offers welding and fabrication services.

D.A.S. Services, located in Northeast Indiana, primarily serves the tri-state region of Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. However, the unique services D.A.S. provides along with strong knowledge and expertise, has attracted clients from other states as well as clients outside the United States.  David Short, President and Chief Operating Officer, is a certified welder by trade. He has over 20 years experience spanning the hydraulic, welding and fabrication fields. Kevin Bussard, Assistant Vice President & Director of Sales, joined the firm in 1995 and has serviced this industry for over 11 years. Barbara Short CFA, Vice President & Chief Financial Officer is a Chartered Financial Analyst and oversees all office operations. D.A.S. has built a highly specialized team of individuals that combined have over 100 years of experience.
