D.A.S. has organized by
departments in order to streamline the repair process. Once a cylinder
reaches the D.A.S. facility, the repair process begins in the
Inspection Department with a complete teardown, washing and
inspection of all components. A work order is written up outlining all
necessary repairs. Based on this information, a thorough quotation is
generated and delivered to the client outlining all recommended repairs. |

Once approval has been given by the
client to proceed with the repair, D.A.S. will either repack or perform
a rebuild of the cylinder, depending upon the condition of the
components. Should the cylinder be in need of a rebuild, it will
proceed to either the Machining Department or the
Welding & Fabrication Department. Equipped with state of the
art equipment, the D.A.S. machining department will repair or produce
any new components that the cylinder may need such as a rod, tube, end
block, port, pin, clevis, piston, gland or cushion. Should the cylinder
be in need of welding, D.A.S. has a full service capability covering mig,
tig and arc welding as well as plasma cutting.
Assembly / Testing

Once the necessary parts have been machined and/or welded or if the
cylinder needs only a repack, it proceeds to the Assembly
Department. Within this department, the cylinder is assembled
with the proper components and seal kit. All cylinders are then tested
up to 10,000 PSI prior to leaving D.A.S. If the cylinder passes the
testing process, black tape is used to protect the rod and threads
during painting and shipping. Finally, the cylinder is then given a new
coat of paint and labeled for ease of client tracking. |
